PLANO GLOBAL PARA ELIMINAR NOVAS INFECÇÕES POR HIV/VIH EM CRIANÇAS ATÉ 2015 E MANTER SUAS MÃES VIVAS - Agora disponível em português

Este Plano Global é um marco para uma mobilização encabeçada pelos países para eliminar novas infecções por HIV/VIH em crianças e manter suas mães vivas.

O Plano Global foi construído por meio de um processo de consulta com uma Força Tarefa Mundial de alto nível convocada e presidida conjuntamente pelo Diretor Executivo do UNAIDS/ONUSIDA, Michel Sidibé, e o Coordenador Global de AIDS/SIDA dos Estados Unidos, embaixador Eric Goosby. O processo de consulta reuniu 25 países e 30 organizações da sociedade civil, do setor privado, de redes de pessoas vivendo com HIV/VIH e de organizações internacionais para traçar um roteiro para poder alcançar esta meta até 2015.

Este plano abrange todos os países de rendas baixa e média, mas tem enfoque nos 22 países* com as maiores estimativas de gestantes vivendo com HIV/VIH. Fazem-se necessários esforços excepcionais globais e nacionais nesses países onde moram quase 90% das gestantes que vivem com HIV/VIH e precisam de serviços.

Esforços intensificados também se fazem necessários para apoiar os países com baixa prevalência do HIV/VIH e epidemias concentradas para que alcancem todas as mulheres e crianças sob risco de infecção pelo HIV/VIH com os serviços que precisam.

O Plano Global apoia e reforça o desenvolvimento de planos nacionais custeados liderados pelos países.

Lubricant Safety Update: Current Research and Advocacy Efforts

Please join IRMA for our first global teleconference of 2011! We will be discussing the latest developments in lubricant safety research and advocacy. As you will recall, lube safety was one of the hottest topics of 2010, and we thought it was important to follow up with you promptly in the new year. Speakers include Charlene Dezzutti of the Microbicide Trials Network, Pamina Gorbach of UCLA, and Marc-André LeBlanc, IRMA Secretary and resident lube advocacy expert. Charlene will discuss her work testing the lubricant in the new FC2 female condom, Pamina will provide updates on her team's analysis of existing lubricant data and the new Project AWARE lube sub-study (part of a 9 U.S. clinic study on STDs), and Marc-André will go over IRMA efforts to understand global regulatory issues regarding sexual lubricants.
